Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and clean provide the convenience of cleaning dry debris and wet mess in one time, without having to switch devices. They also can save space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot should be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacle avoidance. Look for models that have docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It’s one of the simplest robots to set up that we’ve ever tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you running with a clean and complete dust bag, floor solution for hard floors and water tank in no time at all.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. Its mops spin at high speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of dirt, pet hair and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, a variety of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app which lets you select the type of cleaning you’d like to do for each room.

For instance, you can opt for the robot to take care of a thorough clean-up in the kitchen and living rooms but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro’s front collision sensors and smart navigation technology are excellent too and the robot is capable of detecting small obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. The only problem is that the robot is known to smash into walls and objects at a high speed. However an inspection of the history of cleaning in the app will show you exactly what the robot has completed, where it’s traveling, and what obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.

A handy LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance tasks need to be done like emptying the debris tray and rinsing its dirty water tank. It’s also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank by using a 600ml bottle filled with Eufy’s own solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop is able to run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in standard mode, before having to recharge or returning to the base. You can view the entire cleaning information in the app, which is intuitively laid out and easy to understand however we would like to be able to distinguish between a vacuum and a vacuum/mop clean when looking at a clean area in the cleaning history.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company’s top robot mop and vacuum. The model of this year features an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This increases the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pull up small hairs and other particles that other robotic cleaners could overlook.

Like the other two Roborock models I’ve tested it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that helps to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating a dual-camera that can identify objects, determining whether they are walls or other surfaces. It is able to change its direction in a way that is automatic and clean around them without stumbling.

It’s the most expensive model I’ve tried and it comes with the most features. Its sleek, angular style is eye-catching and it has just three physical buttons that include the power button which also resumes cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock and a home button to return the Robot Vacuum Mops to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml water tank. The water tank self-empties and the bin is auto-filling.

The only issue I have discovered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth if required, but it’s a challenge to remove the mount for washing manually. I’ve observed that any carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mount, which can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of smart features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app is where you can manage and set up these smart features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and track battery life. You’ll need to go through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. It’s a shame, considering how well-performing it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a market leader with its innovative features, top suction power and advanced mopping capabilities. Its innovative design lets you to customize and efficiently clean while saving time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to offer 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful choices available. This powerful vacuum can clean up the dry mess, which includes pet hair and food particles. It comes with a mop that is excellent quality that can clean hard floors without the need for pads. In addition, the X40 is very quiet during its operation, with only occasional squeaks of sound when switching between modes or completing self-maintenance tasks.

The X40 has a side brush that can be extended and lifted. This lets it reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean furniture that is curved such as table and chair legs. It also allows the robot to get under low-profile furniture, making it a great option for smaller apartments and condos with tight spaces. The side brush automatically tilts down when it detects wet spots. This is a wonderful feature that allows the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through repeated back-and-forth movements.

In contrast to other robots that solely focus on one task, the X40 can perform both vacuuming and mopping at the same time or in a series. It can also be programmed to skip areas that have carpet and only mop hard floors or vice versa. It can be controlled using the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.

The app is easy to use and understand The X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, see floor plans and mapping and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also keep track of its progress and notify you when it is finished.

The X40 is easy to maintain and has numerous features that make it an excellent choice for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, then refills them with clean water and cleaning solution. It can also tell when the mop pad is overflowing and notify you before it gets overflowing, reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available. It has several characteristics that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature on its mops, uses two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can vacuum up pet hair and other small dirt particles and also pick up spills and wet spots.

The mop is also cleaned and dried inside the base station after every use. This feature is great because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours from accumulating in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature that we haven’t seen on other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great way to keep your home cleaner longer.

There’s a plethora of settings on offer that include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a number of different preferences. These can be set via the app or there are direct buttons on the unit itself. The app is easy to use and provides a number of options for customising your cleaning routine. It also comes with a number of features that aren’t available on other robots, such as the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects dust particles.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks elegant and elegant. It’s heavier than the other two-in-one robots on this list – at 4kg but it’s not too heavy, and it is sturdy and well-built. The mopping design is also excellent and the double-rotating mop is great for hard floors and in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them reach even 2mm below the baseboards.
